Job Description

As an HR Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing an organization's human resources functions. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting employee relations, benefits administration, and talent acquisition. You will assist in creating and implementing HR policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and maintaining employee records. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be an integral part of the HR team, working to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee engagement. The successful candidate will have the ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and confidentiality, and a dedication to promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.


Responsibilities

  • Support the recruitment process by reviewing resumes and conducting initial interviews.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR database.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate employee orientation and onboarding programs with a focus on employee integration.
  • Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance and retirement plans.
  • Provide guidance to employees on HR-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions and workshops for employee skill enhancement.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to identify staffing needs and workforce planning strategies.
  • Monitor employee performance and assist in the evaluation process with departmental heads.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to improve employee retention.
  • Participate in diversity and inclusion initiatives to promote a welcoming workplace culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience working in a human resources role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Thorough understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR-related software applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
