Job Description

An HR Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the human resources department and ensuring the efficient operation of HR processes. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle various administrative tasks and provide assistance to HR managers and recruiters. The HR Assistant is responsible for maintaining employee records, assisting in the recruitment process, scheduling interviews, and providing general support to employees on HR-related topics. As an HR Assistant, you will be expected to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. This role often serves as the initial point of contact for employees seeking HR-related help, making excellent interpersonal skills essential.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment process by helping post job ads and managing applications.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews, meetings, and HR events efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records and update HR databases when necessary.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth operation of HR departmental activities.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide assistance regarding HR-related topics and issues.
  • Help prepare HR documents, such as employment contracts and onboarding documentation.
  • Coordinate new hire orientations and ensure employees receive appropriate onboarding materials.
  • Conduct initial screening of candidates and prepare reports on recruitment statistics.
  • Assist in the performance review process and maintain performance management records.
  • Organize and maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Support HR projects, including compensation reviews, training sessions, and policy updates.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive employee experience by supporting HR initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience working in an administrative role, preferably in a similar HR capacity.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, and familiarity with HRIS or similar databases is a plus.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach in assisting and interacting with employees.
