Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, a strong background in kitchen management, and the ability to deliver exceptional dining experiences consistently. You will be responsible for menu planning, food quality, team leadership, cost control, and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Development:
    • Design and implement seasonal menus with a focus on quality, creativity, and profitability.
    • Develop daily specials and new dishes in line with customer preferences and brand identity.
  • Kitchen Operations:
    • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety standards.
    • Monitor food preparation and presentation standards to maintain high quality.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead, train, and inspire the kitchen team to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
    • Schedule shifts and delegate tasks to maintain smooth operations.
  • Cost Control:
    • Manage food cost, portion control, inventory, and waste reduction.
    • Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate contracts for best pricing and quality.
  • Health & Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
    • Conduct regular kitchen inspections and staff training on safety procedures.
  • Customer Experience:
    • Collaborate with front-of-house to ensure seamless service.
    • Address guest feedback related to food quality and presentation.
Requirements

  • Proven experience as Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume or fine dining establishment.
  • In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques across various cuisines.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation is preferred.
