The Guest Relations Representative is a vital member of our hospitality team, dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and enhancing the overall guest experience. They serve as a primary point of contact for guests, addressing inquiries, handling complaints, and ensuring that all guests feel welcome and valued. The ideal candidate is personable, approachable, and possesses excellent communication skills, capable of effectively resolving issues and improving guest satisfaction. Working in tandem with other departments, the Guest Relations Representative plays a key role in maintaining a positive image of the establishment and fostering a warm atmosphere. This position demands a proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure to uphold our commitment to superior guest service.


Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and respond to inquiries and complaints promptly.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of guest services and amenities available.
  • Coordinate with other departments to address guest needs and requests.
  • Document guest interactions and feedback accurately into the system.
  • Provide information about local attractions and services to enhance guest experience.
  • Resolve guest issues efficiently, aiming to exceed their expectations.
  • Assist with check-in and check-out procedures when necessary.
  • Ensure the front desk is well-organized and tidy at all times.
  • Follow up with guests after their stay to gather satisfaction feedback.
  • Contribute to team meetings regarding customer service improvements and ideas.
  • Handle guest requests and escalate complex issues to management as required.
  • Stay informed about company policies, promotions, and service offerings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service or a similar role is beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address guest concerns effectively.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using computers, including MS Office and hotel software.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
