Job Purpose

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Global Director, Vertical Solution – Techology role holds the primary responsibility of shaping and implementing a comprehensive vertical strategy within the Technology sector, ensuring alignment with industry trends and supply chain management best practices.

By leveraging their expertise, the specialist actively contributes to the development of end-to-end solutions, utilizing data-driven insights and collaborating with the solution engineering team to enhance thought leadership and drive sales. They play a vital role in supporting key account management, acting as a subject matter expert to provide tailored solutions and contribute to the overall coordination and management of key account teams.

Key Responsibilities

Vertical Strategy Development:

• The specialist is responsible for formulating and implementing a comprehensive vertical strategy, focusing on staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in supply chain management within the Technology sector.
  
  

End-to-End Solutions Expertise

• The specialist plays a pivotal role in analyzing logistics data, identifying optimization opportunities, and spearheading the development of fit-for-purpose end-to-end solutions. Collaborating closely with the solution engineering team, they contribute to the creation of innovative products that drive thought leadership and sales.
  
  

Key Account Management Support

• Acting as a subject matter expert, the specialist supports key account management by providing insights for end-to-end solutions tailored to customers needs. They actively contribute to the coordination and management of key account teams, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  
  

Thought Leadership And Training

• The specialist actively promotes thought leadership within the vertical by conducting training sessions and organizing customer events. They represent the company at industry conferences, showcasing expertise. Collaborating closely with marketing and communications, they develop distinct collaterals and PR materials that effectively highlight the unique offerings of vertical solutions.
  
  

Vertical Sales Operations

• Support Technology Vertical Leader in reporting, ensuring sales teams are executing on the strategy, and aligning with the regions
  
  

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

• 10+ years hands-on experience related to the scope of responsibilities specified above. Bachelors degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on developing and implementing logistics strategies in the Technology industry.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful logistics and supply chain strategies that contribute to business growth and profitability.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets related to technology supply chain operations.
• Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex logistics concepts to non-logistics stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience implementing Lean methodology and driving continuous improvement across operations.
• Familiarity with logistics technology, including transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems commonly used in the technology industry.
