Job Description Summary

The General Imaging Ultrasound Application specialist will provide regional clinical expertise to ensure our General Imaging Ultrasound solutions are best-in-class across various care areas and specialties. You will collaborate closely with regional sales leaders, segment sales teams, application specialists, and customers to enhance product performance, utilization, and customer experience. Additionally, you will play a key role in executing our established education programs and supporting Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and educator networks.

This position reports to the General Imaging Ultrasound Clinical Application & Education Manager.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Regional Strategy & Support

  • Execute the regional application team strategy, focusing on pre-sales and post-sales support.
  • Enhance product and clinical knowledge in the General Imaging Ultrasound space.
  • Support Salesforce, channel partners, and frontline application teams in addressing customer needs and challenges.

Customer & Product Performance

  • Monitor installed base and oversee product performance escalations, working closely with service and partner teams to resolve issues.
  • Deliver high-quality training on new product introductions to clinical product teams.
  • Provide clinical insights to product management, marketing, and engineering teams to support product development.

Education & Training

  • Execute the annual customer education plan, developing and delivering structured and branded training programs (in-person and remote).
  • Support the KOL and Digital Opinion Leader (DOL) networks, helping establish new reference sites, educators, and influencers.

Market & Business Development

  • Identify market trends and portfolio needs in collaboration with product management and regional sales leaders.
  • Plan and manage an effective presence at exhibitions, conferences, and workshops at regional and country levels.
  • Deliver clinical, scientific, and technical presentations at customer seminars and training events.

Industry Engagement & Competitive Insights

  • Maintain relationships with advisory panels, medical societies, and key stakeholders in the clinical community.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive offerings, and technological advancements in ultrasound.

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Medical Imaging Technology, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the ultrasound field.
  • Background in the healthcare industry, particularly in radiology and ultrasound.
  • Clinical application expertise in ultrasound with experience in strategic selling and customer engagement.

Skills & Competencies

  • Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in physician and clinical patient care environments.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers, marketing teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Travel Requirement

  • Willingness to travel at least 70% of the time across the specified regions or as required by business needs.
