As a Lead Mechanical Engineer (Static), your primary focus will be to oversee and guide the mechanical static engineering projects with precision and expertise. You will be responsible for the supervision and execution of all static equipment engineering tasks, ensuring that they meet the project specifications, budget constraints, and timelines. Your expertise in static machinery and equipment such as vessels, heat exchangers, and tanks will be critical in delivering high-quality designs and analyses that improve operational efficiency and safety. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, providing technical leadership and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. Your role will also involve mentoring junior engineers and providing technical solutions for complex engineering challenges. A strong emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and process improvement will be essential to successfully drive projects from conception to completion.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of static equipment engineering projects effectively.
  • Ensure that all designs adhere to industry-specific codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize project outcomes and deliverables.
  • Review and approve static mechanical engineering deliverables, ensuring accuracy.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship for junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to meet clients' project requirements.
  • Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting to resolve operational issues effectively.
  • Prepare detailed engineering specifications and documentation for various projects.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget constraints.
  • Participate in design and safety reviews, providing technical input and recommendations.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and interact with suppliers to select suitable equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, preferably.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in static mechanical engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in using engineering design software and analysis tools effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes relevant to static equipment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide innovative solutions.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading safety assessments and implementing best practices.
  • Ability to conduct technical reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Certification or professional registration in mechanical engineering is desirable.
  • Strong project management skills, including budget and schedule management.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings as required.
