As a Furniture Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and creating innovative furniture designs. Responsibilities
Develop creative and functional furniture designs based on client requirements and market trends.
Create detailed sketches, prototypes, and computer-aided designs (CAD) for furniture manufacturing.
Collaborate with manufacturers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of designs.
Conduct research on materials, finishes, and production techniques to enhance product quality and durability.
Stay updated with emerging design trends, materials, and manufacturing processes in the furniture industry.
Provide technical guidance and support to the production team during the manufacturing process.
Review and approve furniture prototypes, ensuring adherence to design specifications and ergonomic principles.
Work closely with retail buyers and sales teams to understand customer preferences and market demands.
Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and design competitions to promote the brand and showcase new furniture designs.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and product catalogs for new furniture launches.
Bachelor's degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Furniture Designer, demonstrating a strong portfolio of innovative and creative designs.
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other design tools.
In-depth knowledge of materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes used in the furniture industry.
Strong understanding of ergonomics, space planning, and design principles.
