Job Purpose

At Emirates Group, we connect the world through our global hub in Dubai, ensuring our customers always ‘Fly Better.’ As one of the most recognised and admired brands globally, we’re driven by innovation and excellence. Join us as a Finance Specialist and play a key role in driving financial strategy and decision-making for a global business. Experience a fast-paced, multicultural environment where your financial expertise will be central to shaping the future of aviation while making a meaningful impact on a global stage.

As a Finance Specialist, you will support the operations of the Indirect Tax Team within Group Financial Reporting, Assurance and Taxation (GFR A&T) by applying your specialist expertise to ensure compliance with indirect tax regulations, including UAE VAT, Excise Tax, and other indirect taxes (excluding ticket taxes). You will help strengthen internal controls and ensure the accuracy and integrity of tax reporting. In addition, you will ensure compliance with Group policies, regulatory requirements, and tax obligations while providing high-quality support and guidance to both internal and external stakeholders.

In This Role, You Will

  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and review their respective activities and functions, and provide compliance assurance to Senior Management on applicable indirect taxes (excluding ticket taxes), process and system enhancements for managing overall risk, and coordinate with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and specific work instructions, and ensure compliance with the Group Finance Policies and Procedures. Work with external, internal, and government auditors to resolve their queries and observations by providing the required analytical information to ensure the smooth completion of audits.
  • Ensure the timely generation and compilation of tax data reports to support UAE VAT returns and refund filings on a periodic basis. Perform multi-level reconciliations between returns, ERP, e-Invoicing ASP reports, and FTA portal data.
  • Prepare, review, and validate tax reporting outputs, including tax returns, reconciliations, and management assurance reports.
  • Participate in discussions on VAT and e-Invoicing implementation for current and new business processes, as well as system changes within Emirates Group. Manage FTA audits, ensure UAE VAT/e-Invoicing compliance, and conduct regular reviews of processes and systems impacting UAE VAT reporting.
  • Support e-Invoicing implementation projects and participate in User Acceptance Testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in Indirect Tax strategy and continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced compliance with indirect tax requirements.
  • Support outstation VAT and e-Invoicing compliance by generating and sharing timely reports in line with local regulatory requirements.

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
