Job Description

The Finance Manager is a pivotal role within the financial department, tasked with steering the financial direction of an organization and ensuring fiscal health. This position demands a high level of expertise in managing budgets, financial forecasts, and reports. The Finance Manager is responsible for leading financial functions, including accounting, budget planning, treasury, audit, taxation, and insurance. The role requires strong leadership and the ability to develop strategies to improve operational efficiency while maximizing the financial performance of the company. Additionally, the Finance Manager will act as a bridge between upper management and the finance team, ensuring that strategic decisions are financially viable, compliant, and in line with the company’s objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the financial policies of the organization effectively.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and analyze financial data meticulously.
  • Maintain healthy cash flow by efficient management of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with other departments to review budgets and manage financial projections.
  • Lead and manage the finance team to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial information.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and collaborate on major capital expenditure requests.
  • Set financial goals in collaboration with the executive team and stakeholders.
  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll and invoicing.
  • Advise management on cost-reduction strategies and impactful financial decisions.
  • Continuously engage with auditors to ensure proper verification and validation of financials.
  • Implement strategic and tactical plans for managing the company’s financial risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Proven working experience as a Finance Manager with relevant achievements.
  • Strong understanding of financial performance metrics and accounting principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective leadership.
  • Advanced Excel and financial reporting software skills essential.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet all financial and operational deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading financial and management reporting processes.
