Senior Accountant (225-911)

A Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in the financial health and integrity of an organization. This position involves a high level of responsibility and requires someone experienced and diligent to oversee key financial operations. As a senior accountant, you will prepare and maintain financial reports and records, ensure compliance with legal guidelines and accounting principles, and collaborate with other departments to support company initiatives. Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with company policies.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely in the general ledger.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit outcomes and compliance.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency.
• Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to aid in business planning and decision making.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior accounting staff and other team members.
• Maintain current knowledge of changes in accounting standards and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with management to provide updates on financial performance and forecasts.
• Assess financial operations and recommend improvements to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred, highlighting professional expertise and commitment.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data.
• Excellent communication abilities to convey complex information succinctly.
• Strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
