Job Description

The Field Service Technician (28N25) is responsible for providing on-site installation, maintenance, and repair services for a variety of technical equipment. This critical role involves travel to customer locations, where you will represent the company and ensure customer satisfaction through timely and effective service delivery. As a Field Service Technician, you will diagnose technical issues, perform troubleshooting, and conduct routine maintenance to ensure equipment operates at optimal performance levels. You will also be the key point of contact for technical problems, providing guidance and solutions to clients. This position demands a combination of technical expertise and excellent communication skills, as you will often need to explain issues and solutions clearly to customers who may not have a technical background.


Responsibilities

  • Travel to client locations to perform installation and repairs of technical equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure machines are performing optimally.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues swiftly and efficiently.
  • Provide detailed reports on service work conducted and any system malfunctions.
  • Maintain service records accurately, ensuring all documentation is completed promptly.
  • Offer technical support and training to clients to enhance their product understanding.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols while performing fieldwork tasks.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to improve service procedures and policy updates.
  • Keep up-to-date with latest technical advancements and product changes.
  • Manage tools and equipment inventory appropriately and efficiently.
  • Develop long-lasting relationships with clients through excellent customer service.
  • Respond to service requests in a timely manner to minimize equipment downtime.

Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to travel frequently and adapt to changing work environments.
  • Proficient in using various hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are a must.
