Job Description

The Field IT Support Engineer is a crucial member of our technical team, responsible for delivering high-quality on-site technical support across various locations. This role requires a professional who is not only adept at diagnosing and troubleshooting a wide range of hardware and software issues but also skilled in providing exceptional customer service. The Field IT Support Engineer must be proactive, resourceful, and able to adapt to different environments and scenarios. A key expectation for this position is to enhance user experience and minimize technical disruptions by efficiently resolving IT-related issues. The role involves regular travel, and therefore, the ability to manage a flexible schedule is essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, a strong technical background, and a keen interest in staying updated with the latest IT technologies and trends.


Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical support and maintenance for hardware and software systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly and professionally.
  • Install and configure hardware, software, and network components efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless IT operations across sites.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks to prevent potential technical issues.
  • Manage and document technical support activities and user feedback accurately.
  • Train users on new software applications and system processes as required.
  • Liaise with vendors for warranty repairs and support service agreements.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends to enhance service delivery and support.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment to ensure stock availability and functionality.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company and regulatory IT standards and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a field technician or IT support engineer in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware systems, networks, and software applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to travel regularly and adapt to changing environments and schedules.
  • Familiarity with IT service management software and remote control applications.
