Job Description

The Factory Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that the manufacturing facility operates seamlessly and efficiently. This role involves overseeing the production process, coordinating various departments, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance productivity and safety. As the leader in charge, the Factory Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring quality standards are met and that production schedules are adhered to. This individual must possess exceptional leadership skills and an in-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, as they will be tasked with optimizing workforce performance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, the Manager will collaborate with other senior leaders to develop strategies that align with company goals and drive operational excellence.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily factory operations to ensure all production activities are completed efficiently.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure products meet set quality standards.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Lead and mentor a team of supervisors and staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust priorities to ensure timelines are met.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain high operational standards.
  • Liaise with procurement and supply chain departments to ensure raw materials availability.
  • Develop reports for senior management on production performance and metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Address and resolve any issues that arise in a timely and effective manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a factory operations manager role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning strategies.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement operations management best practices.
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics management.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex situations.
  • Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software tools is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for diverse teams.
