Job Description

The Facility Maintenance Planner plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of a facility by coordinating essential maintenance activities. This position requires a detailed-oriented professional who can effectively strategize, schedule, and manage maintenance tasks to optimize the efficiency and longevity of the facility's critical systems and infrastructure. The planner will work closely with maintenance teams, vendors, and facility management to identify maintenance needs and ensure appropriate resources are allocated to execute tasks efficiently. The successful candidate will leverage their skills to minimize downtime, enhance safety, and adhere to budget constraints while maintaining a comprehensive record of maintenance activities for future reference and planning.


Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors to perform scheduled preventative maintenance checks consistently.
  • Collaborate with facility management to prioritize maintenance tasks effectively.
  • Monitor progress of maintenance activities and update maintenance records accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations during the execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and recommend changes.
  • Establish and maintain flexible maintenance schedules to reduce facility downtime.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Maintain inventory levels of necessary tools and spare parts for maintenance work.
  • Act as a point of contact for handling emergency maintenance requests promptly.
  • Ensure cost-effectiveness by optimizing the allocation of maintenance resources.
  • Train new and existing staff on maintenance protocols and schedules as required.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in facility maintenance planning or similar roles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills for managing diverse tasks.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating between teams and vendors.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in facility maintenance.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach.
