Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and creative Executive Oriental Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional Asian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Asian culinary traditions and a deep understanding of traditional and modern cooking methods. Responsibilities include developing innovative menu items, managing kitchen operations, overseeing food preparation and presentation, and ensuring high quality and consistency in all dishes. The Executive Oriental Chef will also be responsible for sourcing ingredients, training kitchen staff, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. a culinary degree and relevant certifications are preferred.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of authentic oriental cuisine in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Develop and create innovative oriental dishes to enhance the menu offerings.
  • Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and effectively, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Manage and train kitchen staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to execute oriental cuisine dishes.
  • Monitor food costs, inventory levels, and wastage to maintain profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to plan and execute special events and promotions.
  • Stay current with food trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into menu development.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including equipment maintenance and sanitation.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen team.


Requirements

  • Proven experience working as an Executive Oriental Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and contemporary Oriental cuisine, including regional variations and cooking techniques.
  • Formal culinary education from a recognized culinary school or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage kitchen staff and collaborate with other team members.
  • Ability to create innovative Oriental dishes, develop menus, and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
