Objective:

This position is responsible for leading the enterprise technology architecture strategy across the organization, focusing on simplification, data architecture, AI enablement, cloud optimization, and seamless cybersecurity integration. The role ensures alignment of enterprise systems with business objectives to drive digital transformation and scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise & Application Architecture

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive, future-ready enterprise architecture roadmap.
  • Lead modernization and simplification of legacy systems and applications across business functions.
  • Integrate disaster recovery and business continuity into architectural planning.

Data Architecture & Master Data Management

  • Build a unified enterprise data architecture and enable development of a robust enterprise data lake.
  • Drive enterprise-wide Master Data governance across ecommerce and physical retail operations.
  • Define enterprise data policies, capacities, and integration frameworks.

Cloud Optimization & Infrastructure Strategy

  • Design and implement a multi-cloud strategy and containerized architecture.
  • Optimize cloud usage and costs using AI tools and proactive cloud governance.
  • Enable workload portability through microservices and scalable architectures.

AI-Led Digital Innovation

  • Drive AI-led initiatives to optimize IT processes and implement an intelligent command center.
  • Track adoption of emerging technologies with measurable business outcomes.

Cybersecurity Enablement

  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to integrate AI-led security frameworks into enterprise architecture.
  • Support data protection, compliance, and cyber resilience through proactive design.

Strategic Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Align IT architecture initiatives with digital transformation goals and growth strategy.
  • Partner with Product Heads across planning, buying, merchandising, supply chain, ecommerce, and operations.
  • Communicate architectural vision and implementation roadmap across technical and business teams.

Governance & Program Oversight

  • Lead program planning, execution, budgeting, and risk management for architecture initiatives.
  • Define KPIs to measure architectural effectiveness and transformation impact.

Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in enterprise architecture, IT strategy, or solution design, preferably in the retail sector.
  • Proven track record in designing enterprise-wide IT systems across store operations, ecommerce, logistics, and merchandising.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms, AI/ML, microservices, and cybersecurity integration.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, master data management, and enterprise governance frameworks.
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certifications in TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architecture, or similar frameworks preferred.
