WE ARE LOOKING FOR Embedded IoT Engineer to join Unikie Team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job Description

Develop and integrate embedded IoT solutions, specifically leveraging LoRa and LoRaWAN technologies for secure, resilient communications.

Design and implement Zephyr RTOS device drivers for various sensors, ensuring compatibility, efficiency, and reliability.

Work closely with hardware and software teams to develop robust embedded solutions using Nordic Semiconductor MCUs (e.g., nRF52 and nRF53 series).

Prototype IoT concepts into functional demonstrators (TRL 4-6), incorporating secure communications and reliable sensor integration.

Collaborate with academic and industry partners to apply cutting-edge research findings to IoT and cyber-physical systems.

Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, technical documentation, patent drafting, and participate in relevant industry forums and conferences.

Required Qualifications

MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Proven experience with LoRa and LoRaWAN for low-power, wide-area networking.

Demonstrable expertise in writing Zephyr RTOS device drivers and interfacing with new sensors.

Strong proficiency in embedded C/C++ development, specifically with ARM-based MCUs (Nordic Semiconductor nRF series preferred).

Experience with hardware troubleshooting, debugging techniques, and writing low-level drivers and interrupt service routines.

Broad understanding of IoT security principles and wireless network security paradigms.

Familiarity with 3D printing for rapid prototyping and sensor integration solutions.

Competent with Python scripting and Linux Bash environments.

Experience with common bus protocols such as SPI, I2C, and UART

Ability to learn new skills and operate in a fast-paced and changing environment.
