Electrician (225-1012)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. As an electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a variety of settings. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring electrical systems are safe, functional, and up to code. You will work with a range of electrical systems and components, including wiring, circuits, and appliances. Your role will involve collaborating with other professionals, interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams, and diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues. A keen attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols are essential in delivering high-quality work and ensuring the safety of all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical documentation accurately.
• Conduct inspections to identify electrical issues and execute appropriate solutions.
• Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with general contractors and other professionals on project planning and execution.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using testing equipment and hand tools.
• Perform upgrades or replacements of electrical systems and components to enhance efficiency and performance.
• Maintain detailed records of all electrical work performed, including repairs and installations.
• Troubleshoot electrical wiring and devise efficient repair solutions to avoid future issues.
• Guide and mentor less experienced electricians and apprentices in fostering a skilled workforce.
• Procure necessary materials and ensure tools and materials are properly maintained.
• Stay updated on advancements in electrical technology and integrate if beneficial and applicable.

Requirements

• Valid electrician’s license or certification as required by jurisdictional regulations.
• Proven experience working as an electrician in various settings and environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
• Physical ability to perform manual work, including lifting heavy objects and climbing ladders.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and provide clear instructions.
