The Electrical Lead Technician is a pivotal role within our engineering and maintenance team, responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive knowledge of electrical systems, both commercial and industrial, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of electrical technicians. The Electrical Lead Technician will ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety codes and standards, optimizing electrical infrastructure for peak performance and reliability. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of electrical technicians, ensuring efficient work practices.
• Coordinate and plan electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities daily.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards at all times.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve complex electrical issues effectively.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities performed.
• Oversee electrical system upgrades and modifications to improve functionality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to support facility operations and project needs.
• Provide technical guidance and training to electrical technicians to enhance skillsets.
• Manage inventory and requisition electrical supplies, parts, and tools as needed.
• Develop work schedules, prioritize tasks, and delegate assignments to the team.
• Ensure all electrical work is conducted in accordance with industry best practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in supervising technical teams.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and safety regulations.
• Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on finding efficient solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as required.
