Job Description

The Maintenance Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the efficient operation and upkeep of facilities by overseeing the maintenance activities and ensuring all systems and equipment are functioning optimally. This position requires excellent organizational and leadership skills, as the Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating maintenance tasks, managing the maintenance staff, and liaising with other departments to ensure seamless operations. Their role directly impacts the productivity and safety within the facility, making it a critical position within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of maintenance processes and a proactive attitude towards resolving maintenance and repair issues effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective maintenance procedures to ensure timely repairs.
  • Coordinate with departments to schedule preventive maintenance activities for all equipment.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and place orders when necessary.
  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians to achieve department objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during maintenance tasks.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage the maintenance budget and track expenses against planned budgets.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance logs and service records.
  • Inspect facilities periodically to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and projects.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Prepare regular reports on maintenance activities and performance metrics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in a maintenance coordinator or similar role is required.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance operations and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities to manage a team effectively.
  • Ability to analyze data and create actionable plans and reports.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interactions with various departments.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and maintenance management software.
