As an Electrical Lead Technician, you will be at the forefront of managing and supervising all electrical maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting endeavors across various projects within our company. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will coordinate with other departments to ensure that electrical systems and components are reliable, efficient, and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements. You will also mentor less experienced technicians, providing guidance and instruction in best practices for electrical work. Your contributions will be pivotal in maintaining smooth operations and minimizing downtime in all electrical aspects of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical team in daily operations and project deployments.
• Inspect and evaluate electrical systems to ensure specifications and safety regulations are followed.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical failures efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Design, plan, and oversee the installation of electrical systems in new projects.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of electrical installations and repairs.
• Mentor and coach junior technicians to improve overall team competency and performance.
• Liaise with external contractors to coordinate services and project requirements.
• Ensure the availability and proper use of tools and equipment by the electrical team.
• Develop preventative maintenance plans to enhance the longevity of equipment and systems.
• Stay updated with the latest electrical codes, safety standards, and technologies.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize electrical designs for performance and cost-efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Technician in a supervisory role is essential.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Demonstrated experience with project management and leading technical teams.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• A relevant technical certification or degree in electrical engineering or related field is preferred.
