Job Description

An E-Commerce Manager is a pivotal role in ensuring an online business's success and growth by overseeing the company's online sales strategies and execution. This position requires a combination of strong marketing knowledge, technical proficiency, and leadership skills. As an E-Commerce Manager, you will lead a team responsible for all aspects of the e-commerce platform, from site maintenance and product uploads to promotional campaigns and customer service. Your primary objectives will be to drive online traffic that results in increased sales and customer retention. You will work closely with marketing, IT, and operations teams to optimize and enhance the customer’s online shopping experience. The role demands someone with a strategic mind who can analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions to capture new markets while expanding existing ones. You need to be passionate about creating an effortless shopping experience, utilizing the latest in e-commerce technology, and delivering high-level customer service.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive e-commerce strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platform and online sales processes.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure a seamless and efficient e-commerce experience.
  • Assess and optimize website architecture to improve user experience and conversion rates.
  • Manage and train a team of e-commerce professionals and support staff effectively.
  • Analyze sales data and adapt strategies to meet or exceed sales performance goals.
  • Coordinate with marketing for aligning online promotions, discounts, and campaigns.
  • Ensure inventory levels are adequately maintained to prevent stockouts or overages.
  • Create KPI reports and present them to stakeholders with insights and action plans.
  • Implement effective online product merchandising strategies and customer engagement plans.
  • Stay updated with e-commerce industry trends and implement best practices accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with e-commerce legal requirements and data protection regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in an e-commerce management role.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and digital marketing strategies.
  • Proven track record in driving online sales growth and customer acquisition.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a knack for data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities and experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and SEO best practices.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines effectively.
