Driver - Heavy Vehicle

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To provide safe, timely and reliable transportation support for employees, documents, materials, equipment and company vehicles, while ensuring vehicles are maintained in a clean, roadworthy and serviceable condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Carries out collection and delivery duties between offices, stores, workshops, hangars, service providers, government departments and other designated locations.
• Ensures company vehicles are operated in compliance with traffic rules, company procedures, safety requirements and airport/airside regulations, where applicable.
• Conducts routine vehicle checks to ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy and ready for use.
• Reports vehicle defects, damage, incidents or maintenance requirements promptly to the relevant department for follow-up.
• Transports company vehicles to and from service centres for routine servicing, repairs and other maintenance requirements.
• Maintains accurate records, including trip sheets, handover logs, delivery records and other required documentation.
• Ensures transported items are handled securely and protected from loss, damage or misuse during transit.
• Coordinates with internal stakeholders to support daily transport schedules, urgent delivery requests and operational requirements.
• Maintains cleanliness, safety, housekeeping, security and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention standards during transportation, collection and delivery activities.
• Operates heavy vehicles, including trucks with trailers, to transport Ground Support Equipment, engines, engine stands, palletised cargo, oversized materials and other heavy operational items.
• Operates light forklifts and heavy forklifts to load, unload, move and position aircraft spares, tools, Ground Support Equipment, engines, engine stands, palletised cargo and other materials.
• Operates aircraft tugs, pushback tractors and tow-bar-less pushback tractors to support aircraft movement and towing activities in compliance with ICAO, GCAA, EASA and company procedures.
• Assists in the movement and delivery of aircraft spares, tools and Ground Support Equipment to and from aircraft and hangars in coordination with Maintenance Team Leads and other stakeholders as required.
• Conducts pre-use checks of heavy vehicles, trailers, light forklifts, heavy forklifts, aircraft tugs, pushback tractors, tow-bar-less pushback tractors, tow bars and related handling equipment, and reports any defects, damage or unsafe conditions before operation.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Fluent in English
• 2 years of driving/logistics experience (aviation experience an advantage).
• Years with qualifications: 2 - 4 years
• ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4
• Valid RTA driver’s license Valid UAE/RTA Heavy Truck Driving Licence (Category 4) and Heavy Forklift Licence (Category 8), as required for operational support. Valid RTA Manual Transmission Driving Licence and RTA Category 3 Licence

Isr Requirements

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
