Job Description
A Dog Groomer is responsible for providing grooming services to dogs, ensuring they are clean, comfortable, and well-groomed. They bathe and groom dogs based on client specifications and breed standards. They also assess the health of dogs and report any abnormalities to the owner or a veterinarian. Additionally, they may provide additional services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing.
Responsibilities
- Bathe and shampoo dogs using appropriate grooming products.
- Brush and comb dog coats to remove tangles and mats.
- Trim and style dog fur based on breed standards or client preferences.
- Clip dogs' nails and clean their ears.
- Brush dogs' teeth and provide dental care.
- Identify and report any health issues or abnormalities.
- Handle dogs with care and ensure their safety throughout the grooming process.
- Clean and maintain grooming tools and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
- Stay updated with the latest grooming techniques and trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of plants, horticulture, and landscape construction techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
