Job Description

The Distribution Lead plays a crucial role in overseeing the distribution operations within an organization. This position is pivotal in ensuring the seamless flow of products from the warehouse to the end customer. As a Distribution Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of distribution staff, coordinating logistics, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily distribution operations to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.
  • Manage and lead a team of distribution staff, offering guidance and support.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and transport partners to streamline supply chain efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies in distribution practices.
  • Monitor distribution performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth.
  • Plan and manage resources, including manpower, to meet distribution targets effectively.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the distribution team.
  • Collaborate with different departments to align distribution efforts with company goals.
  • Prepare and submit reports on distribution activities and progress for management review.
  • Resolve any issues or disputes related to distribution activities with swift action.
  • Analyze market and logistical trends to forecast future distribution demands and challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in distribution management or a similar leadership role required.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles necessary.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address distribution challenges.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient with distribution software and other relevant logistics tools preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
