About The Role

The Director, Nightlife will be responsible for overseeing, managing and directing all aspects of the nightlife and entertainment operation of One&Only One Za'abeel. He/she will lead, develop, and implement a strategic plan and events calendar for the destination.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Observe current nightlife venues on property and identify opportunities from the qualitive research obtained.
• Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, food and beverage, security, and external parties to coordinate and integrate nightlife.
• Define, develop, and implement a department structure for the nightlife and entertainment department.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan and events calendar for the hotel
• Curate and organize entertainment programs, live performances, DJ sets, and themed events to position One&Only One Za'abeel as a nighlife destination
• Identify and engage with artists, performers, and promoters to ensure a dynamic and appealing nightlife and entertainment experience.
• Identify trends and opportunities in the nightlife industry to enhance the destination competitive position.
• Collaborate with the marketing team and other stakeholders to promote nightlife events and attract a target audience.
• Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant UAE laws and regulations related to nightlife operations.
• Prepare regular financial reports, analyze performance metrics, and provide insights to the senior food and beverage.
• Negotiate contracts for entertainers & develop a database of high value guests.
  
  

About You

This role requires a dynamic individual with a keen understanding of the entertainment industry and a passion for creating world class events. We're looking for candidates who can meet the below criteria:

• Proven experience in a senior management role within the nightlife and/or entertainment industry.
• Strong understanding of current trends in music, entertainment, and nightlife.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• International experience preferred.
• Outgoing, confident, highly effective communication skills with a can-do attitude
• Resilience and flexible, a team leader who works well under pressure, analytical thinking, sincere and dependable
• Confident to deal with peers and senior colleagues and empower others to make decisions.
• Experience MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, POS systems, Restaurant Reservations Systems, Opera.
• Sound financial acumen.
