Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Desktop Support Engineer L2 to join our IT team. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring optimal workstation performance. You will play a vital role in maintaining the IT infrastructure and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT services. Your expertise will be critical in minimizing downtime and ensuring users can perform their tasks efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Provide second-level support for desktop, laptop, and peripheral issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems for users.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within the network environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and IT best practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation of IT procedures and troubleshooting processes.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Assist in regular maintenance and software updates of IT systems.
  • Prepare and deploy new desktops, laptops, and IT equipment for users.
  • Provide remote support to users through phone and email communication.
  • Train users on new technologies, software, and IT policies as needed.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives to improve desktop support services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and common desktop applications.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Experience with Active Directory, network shares, and Windows servers.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCSA, or similar preferred.
