Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to our dental professionals and delivering exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for preparing patients for dental procedures, ensuring a sterile and organized workspace, and assisting the dentist during treatments and examinations. This position requires a compassionate individual who is comfortable with patient interaction and can effectively communicate dental procedures and post-treatment care to patients. Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and procedure efficiency.
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-equipped.
  • Maintain and sterilize dental instruments, following all health and safety protocols.
  • Take dental X-rays and ensure proper handling and processing of radiographs.
  • Communicate post-treatment care instructions to patients, ensuring understanding and compliance.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar effectively.
  • Assist in updating patient records and maintaining accurate dental documentation.
  • Provide patients with compassionate care before, during, and after dental treatments.
  • Ensure that all dental supplies and materials are stocked and easily accessible.
  • Facilitate patient check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a smooth experience.
  • Support front desk operations as needed, including answering phones and addressing inquiries.
  • Stay updated on dental technologies and procedures through continued education opportunities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working as a dental assistant or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in taking and processing dental X-rays and radiographs.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with patients and team members.
  • Knowledge of dental health services and familiarity with dental instruments.
  • Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
