The Customer Solutions Engineering team leader manages Major projects and Customer Solutions Engineering operations for tenders and Orders. He/she develops the team’s competencies to meet current and future business needs.

Ensures there is adequate technical expertise to understand customer needs and to define the best KONE solutions for customers in collaboration with sales and delivery teams. Drives technical solution compliance with engineering policy, safety regulations, local codes & standards for the full solution lifecycle.

CSE Team Leader Responsibilities.

  • Delivers CSE scope of work using the CSE team that reports to him/her.
  • Works closely with Supply line management for project-specific solutions, effective costing actions, and ensures it meets contractual timelines.
  • Identifies changes in the market and technology environment and drives changes to solutions and ways of working
  • Collects input and provides standardization opportunities
  • Provides technical consultancy to Sales and customers
  • Participates in high-priority customer meetings as a CSE representative, impacts customer specifications, and understands customer needs
  • Costing management: understanding total costing, front-line target costing, and planning for cost-effective solutions
  • Ensures compliant deployment of engineering policy, local codes, and standards
  • Ensures CSE plans safe customer solutions
  • Provides high-quality inputs for Sourcing and Supply Line
  • Provides solutions where full lifecycle management is considered; installability and maintainability are considered

Leadership / People Management responsibilities:

  • People management, e.g., setting targets, conducting PDPs, and IDPs for team members
  • Balances CSE Resources according to business priorities
  • Facilitates information sharing and creates a collaborative working environment
  • Drives competence development in the team
  • Drives behaviour to represent KONE as one team towards the customer
  • Leads the performance of the team

Are you the one?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering management experience
  • Proven track record in management capabilities in a global/regional environment
  • Understanding of new construction and building modernization business and processes within the Elevator industry
  • Holistic knowledge of KONE solutions, products, and processes
  • Understanding applicable safety and environmental norms and standards
  • Commercial business experience and/or strong business-oriented mindset
  • Ability to manage a team
  • Fluent in English. Arabic language is an asset.
