Job Description

As a Counter Sales Executive, you will be the first point of contact for customers entering the retail space. Your role is instrumental in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You'll be responsible for addressing customer needs, answering product or service queries, and facilitating sales processes. This role requires an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills and a keen interest in sales. Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly, listen to their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Assist customers with queries regarding product specifications and availability.
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer and ensure proper handling of financial transactions.
  • Update inventory records and alert management of low stock levels.
  • Keep the sales area clean, organized, and stocked with the latest products available.
  • Process sales by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and card payments.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns with patience and a solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Coordinate with the stockroom for product replenishment and stocking activities.
  • Cross-sell products wherever possible to enhance customer satisfaction and store profitability.
  • Stay informed on current promotions, policies regarding returns, exchanges, and store security practices.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Prepare reports on sales trends, customer preferences, and store feedback for management review.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Previous retail sales experience or similar customer-facing roles preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-centric approach are essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in using point of sale systems and handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills for effective stock management.
  • Flexible working hours including weekends and holidays depending on business needs.
