Job Description

The Contracts Administrator plays a critical role in our organization, responsible for managing, overseeing, and coordinating contractual agreements from initiation to execution. This position demands a detail-oriented and organized individual who can efficiently handle multiple tasks while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. The Contracts Administrator serves as the primary point of contact for contracts management and negotiation, ensuring that agreements align with organizational goals and legal requirements. With a strong understanding of contract law and excellent communication skills, the Contracts Administrator is expected to work closely with legal, financial, and operational teams to mitigate risks and enhance the value of contracts. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure, contributing significantly to the effective management of contracts within the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor renewal dates and manage the timely extension of existing contracts.
  • Collaborate with legal and financial departments to ensure contract compliance.
  • Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all contract files and correspondences.
  • Provide guidance and training on contract management standards and practices.
  • Identify potential risks in contracts and propose mitigation strategies before execution.
  • Facilitate communications between parties to address contractual concerns and modifications.
  • Evaluate and maintain contractual performances against agreed key performance indicators.
  • Prepare reports on contract status, highlighting areas of concern to management.
  • Assist in the development and standardization of contract templates and processes.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure contract requirements are met and enforced.
  • Analyze contract terms and conditions, advising management on compliance and amendments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and relevant federal and state regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to identify potential contractual issues.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
