Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders and diseases.
  • Conduct procedures like endoscopies and colonoscopies to detect and treat problems.
  • Prescribe medication and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to discuss treatment strategies and patient progress.
  • Educate and counsel patients and families on the digestive health and disease prevention.
  • Participate in hospital rounds, on-call duties, and clinical case conferences regularly.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records through our digital health systems.
  • Stay updated with advancements in gastroenterology through continuous education and research.
  • Engage in research activities to contribute to the advancement of gastroenterology.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior medical staff and trainees as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Promote a culture of excellence and continual improvement within the gastroenterology unit.

Requirements

  • A medical degree and completion of fellowship training in Gastroenterology required.
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology and an active state medical license.
  • Proven experience working as a consultant in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Exceptional knowledge of gastrointestinal diseases, treatments, and medical procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
