Job Description

The Construction Site Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the daily operations and activities of a construction site. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the construction process from planning, execution, to completion, ensuring safety standards and schedules are strictly followed. The Construction Site Coordinator serves as a critical link between project managers, contractors, laborers, and other stakeholders. With exceptional organizational skills, they ensure resources are utilized efficiently, project details are communicated effectively, and project goals are met within set timelines and budgets. This role requires a dynamic individual adept at problem-solving, communication, and multitasking to handle the complexities and challenges associated with construction projects.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities and operations to ensure project timeliness.
  • Oversee site safety compliance and ensure adherence to regulations and standards.
  • Facilitate communication between all stakeholders for project clarity and efficiency.
  • Manage logistics of material delivery and inventory on the construction site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to evaluate progress and address issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, incidents, and project changes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project plans and schedules.
  • Ensure proper allocation and utilization of human and material resources.
  • Manage conflicts or disputes that arise during the construction process swiftly.
  • Prepare progress reports for senior management and client updates as needed.
  • Coordinate and attend site meetings to discuss project details and issues.
  • Support the project manager in contract management and subcontractor coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction site coordination or management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple teams and tasks effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certification in project management or site safety is considered an asset.
