tab-stops: list .5in;">Intellectual Property Law</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l4 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in;">Private International Law</li></ul>The successful candidate will be a Ph.D.-qualified faculty member with relevant academic and professional experience in one or more of the above areas, and will be expected to teach courses in these areas within the College of Law.Instruction Language: English (Arabic where applicable) Teaching Load: 12 credit hours per academic semesterJob Purpose The successful candidate will be responsible for providing students with professional expertise through teaching, assessing student work, academic advising, participating in administrative and committee activities, and contributing to professional and community service.Qualifications & Education<ul style="margin-top: 0in;" type="disc"><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; tab-stops: list .5in;">Ph.D. in Law (Commercial Law, Civil Law, Arbitration, Intellectual Property Law, Private International Law, or a closely related field) from an accredited university in the United States or a recognized international university accredited by a recognized accreditation body.</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; tab-stops: list .5in;">Applicants must have completed their Ph.D. by the time of recruitment.</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; tab-stops: list .5in;">A minimum of 18 credit hours of graduate-level study in the relevant field.</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; tab-stops: list .5in;">A minimum of three articles published in Scopus-indexed journals or five articles in peer-reviewed law journals within the past five years.</li></ul>Experience<ul style="margin-top: 0in;" type="disc"><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l1 level1 lfo3; tab-stops: list .5in;">Minimum of 2 years of teaching and/or professional legal experience (such as legal practice, arbitration, or legal advisory roles) at an internationally accredited university or in a relevant professional setting.</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l1 level1 lfo3; tab-stops: list .5in;">Proven record of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.</li></ul>Skills / Training / Knowledge<ul style="margin-top: 0in;" type="disc"><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l3 level1 lfo4; tab-stops: list .5in;">Knowledge and experience in curriculum development and review.</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l3 level1 lfo4; tab-stops: list .5in;">Demonstrated record of professional accomplishment, including peer-reviewed publications in the specialization areas.</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l3 level1 lfo4; tab-stops: list .5in;">Active research agenda and interest in research collaboration with other faculty members.</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l3 level1 lfo4; tab-stops: list .5in;">Ability to integrate web-based and digital technologies, including legal databases, into the classroom.</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l3 level1 lfo4; tab-stops: list 1.0in;">Apply current pedagogical techniques, such as case-based learning, moot court, mock arbitration, and legal analysis exercises, that stimulate students’ inquiry and engagement.</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l2 level2 lfo5; tab-stops: list 1.0in;">Provide students with a broad and coherent body of legal knowledge while developing relevant skills and competencies through effective teaching and appropriate assessment methods.</li></ul><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l2 level1 lfo5;
