Job Description

The role of a Chemical Engineer specializing in Fuel and Lubricant Additives involves providing technical expertise and innovative solutions for the development and optimization of chemical additives used in fuels and lubricants. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of chemical processes and reactions, as well as experience in formulating and testing additives to improve performance, efficiency, and environmental sustainability of fuels and lubricants. This position requires a forward-thinking professional who can collaborate with a diverse team to drive research and development projects from concept through to commercialization. Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and development on new fuel and lubricant additive formulations.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to optimize additive performance and cost efficiency.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data to make informed recommendations on product improvements.
  • Ensure additives meet stringent regulatory and environmental standards set by industry authorities.

  • Design and implement test procedures for evaluating the effectiveness of chemical additives.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements in chemical engineering related to fuels and lubricants.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams and external customers as needed.
  • Manage and document all research and development activities thoroughly for future reference.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure consistency and quality of raw materials.
  • Identify and resolve any technical issues related to additive application and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fuel and lubricant additive development.
  • Strong understanding of chemical processes and applications in the auto industry.
  • Proven track record in conducting successful chemical research and development projects.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and environmental impact concerns in this sector.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis and modeling software.
  • Strong communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to innovate and drive continuous improvement.
