About The Role

As Sourcing Specialist you will perform strategic sourcing activities within Fresh Produce and Dairy category and implement procurement strategies to deliver efficient, professional service to all stakeholders. This role requires independent and professional judgment and is performed under the general direction of the Sourcing Manager.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• creating a successful alliance with suppliers and building strong business relationships with them
• ensuring suppliers' compliance on product quality, Health & Safety, legal as well as all other issues as per organization guidelines
• stakeholder management - successfully identifying and influencing internal stakeholders in order to deliver quality results with focus on strategic efficiency
• category management - researching market trends, analyzing insights and regularly reviewing existing products and services in order to sustain long term development strategies for your category
• planning sourcing activities - vendor evaluation, negotiations and contract drafting, managing all bidding activities, bid award & related administration activities, ensure contract close-out, extension or renewal
  
  

About You

We are looking for candidates with at least 4 years experience within the food service industry, ideally in a procurement, import or wholesale operations capacity. Experience working with local producers and knowledge of UAE fresh produce market is mandatory. To succeed in this role, you should have the ability to deal with problems involving several variables and comfortably negotiate by understanding the supplier’s position. Strong analytical skills and natural ability to communicate effectively with all levels inside and outside the organization are critical for this position.
