Carpenter (225-612)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter to join our team and contribute to a variety of construction projects. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications accurately.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials with precision and safety.
• Construct and assemble wooden frameworks, including walls, floors, and door frames.
• Install structures and fixtures such as windows, molding, and trim boards.
• Repair and replace structural components as necessary to ensure integrity and safety.
• Lay out floorings, roofing, or drywall ensuring they are level and compatible.
• Perform finish carpentry duties including the installation of cabinets and custom shelving.
• Inspect carpentry components to ensure no structural issues or defects are present.
• Estimate material requirements and costs for carpentry jobs and prepare cost reports.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time and to specifications.
• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure efficient use and to extend their usable life.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a carpenter in residential or commercial construction.
• Proficient in using both manual and power tools in carpentry work.
• Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and code requirements.
• Ability to comprehend and follow complex instructions and blueprints.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring heavy lifting and standing for long periods.
