Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our dynamic team. As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in the procurement process, managing the purchasing and inventory levels to ensure our operations run smoothly. You will collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts while analyzing market trends to make informed purchasing decisions. Our ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, a knack for negotiation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise in vendor management and procurement strategies will be pivotal in securing the best deals and maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers. Your role will involve critical decision-making that directly impacts our operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends to make informed purchasing decisions on product acquisitions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock without overordering.
  • Review and evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of purchased goods.
  • Prepare reports on market conditions, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving through effective procurement strategies.
  • Resolve any issues related to the supply chain, such as shipment delays or quality concerns.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
  • Analyze potential risks associated with inventory and supplier relationships.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and incorporate them into procurement processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective vendor relationships.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficient in the use of procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes.
