Business Sector Manager - Air Freight

The Business Sector Manager - Air Freight will be responsible for overseeing and expanding the air freight operations within a defined business sector. The role includes managing key accounts, developing sector-specific strategies, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring service excellence in accordance with UAE trade and customs regulations. This position requires a deep understanding of international logistics, market trends, and air cargo operations, along with strong leadership and client relationship management capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the air freight business within the assigned sector.

• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

• Monitor industry trends and identify new business opportunities in alignment with market needs.

• Collaborate with sales, operations, and logistics teams to ensure smooth coordination of shipments and services.

• Ensure all air freight operations comply with UAE aviation, customs, and trade regulations.

• Negotiate and manage contracts with airlines, agents, and service providers.

• Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs, improve transit times, and enhance efficiency.

• Lead, train, and support a team of sector-specific air freight professionals.

• Analyze performance metrics and prepare regular reports on revenue, profitability, and market performance.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in air freight logistics, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

• Strong understanding of international air cargo operations and UAE air freight regulations.

• Proven ability to develop sector-specific strategies and drive business growth.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in logistics management systems and MS Office tools.

• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
