Building Design Lead

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in architectural and building design leadership, with proven capability to lead multidisciplinary building projects ensuring technical excellence, compliance with regulations, and alignment with client objectives.

The Building Design Lead will be responsible for design delivery, technical governance, and coordination across architectural and engineering disciplines, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and innovative building solutions aligned with client objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Design Leadership & Management
• Lead the building design process from concept to detailed design, ensuring clarity of vision, technical quality, and integration with engineering disciplines (structure, MEP, BIM).
• Manage, mentor, and coordinate internal design teams and external consultants to deliver design milestones on schedule and within budget.
• Promote design innovation, creative solutions, and best practices across projects
• Multidisciplinary Coordination
• Work closely with civil, structural, MEP, and BIM teams to ensure seamless design integration and technical consistency.
• Facilitate design reviews with stakeholders, ensuring issues are resolved and design decisions are documented.
• Client & Stakeholder Engagement
• Present design proposals and progress updates to clients, regulators, and senior leadership.
• Respond to client feedback and revise design solutions while maintaining technical integrity and contract compliance.
• Technical Quality & Compliance
• Ensure all designs meet local and international building codes, standards, safety regulations, and sustainability requirements.
• Lead the preparation and review of design deliverables, including models, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Project Delivery & Performance
• Support project planning, risk management, and budget control for design phases.
• Monitor design performance metrics; implement corrective actions as needed to achieve project objectives.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or a related design/engineering discipline.
• 10+ years experience in building design and architectural leadership roles - preferably with international or GCC project exposure.
• Proven experience in managing complex building design projects from concept through execution.
• Strong understanding of BIM workflows, design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit), and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
