Job Description
- To maintain an excellent knowledge of mixed drinks, wines and spirits.
- To prepare and serve beverage orders and provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following Park Hyatt Dubai Standards of Performance.
- To perform all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of Work.
- To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub departments of the Food & Beverage Division or any other Department of the hotel as assigned.
- To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel.
- To perform opening and closing procedures established for the Place of Work as assigned.
- To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all Food & Beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food & Beverage combinations and upsell alternatives.
- To ensure that the Place of Work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
- To perform departmental cleaning duties in the restaurant, bar or dish landing area.
- To monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage.
- To handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.
- To handle cashiering duties as and when assigned by the Manager or other Senior Management.
- To efficiently manage the proper settlement of all customer accounts.
- To ensure all Bar stock levels are maintained, ensuring stock is rotated and in-date and stored at the appropriate temperatures.
- To assist in the dispensing of beverages inside a bar, as and when required.
- Professional Bartending Certification – Formal training or certification from a recognized bartending school or hospitality institute.
- Extensive Drink Knowledge – Strong understanding of classic and modern cocktails, wines, spirits, and beverage pairings.
- Excellent Communication & Customer Service Skills – Ability to engage with high-end clientele professionally and courteously.
- Experience in Upscale or Luxury Venues – Prior experience working in fine-dining restaurants, luxury hotels, or high-end bars is usually essential.
- Flair & Efficiency – Skilled in high-volume service with a focus on presentation, precision, and speed, often including flair bartending techniques.
