Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our dedicated team in providing top-notch customer service within our auto repair facility. As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will be the liaison between our automotive technicians and the clients who bring in their vehicles for maintenance and repair. Your role will involve understanding the customer's needs, communicating these needs effectively to our team, and ensuring that the customer is satisfied with their vehicle's service. Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and listen to their vehicle concerns and needs.
  • Accurately document customers' vehicle issues and their service preferences.
  • Establish a reliable line of communication between technicians and customers.
  • Provide timely updates to customers about their vehicle status and repair estimates.
  • Discuss potential additional repairs with customers to avoid surprises on their bill.
  • Educate customers on preventative maintenance for improved vehicle longevity.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and submit them for customer approval.
  • Manage service appointments and ensure they are organized efficiently.
  • Verify warranty coverage and apply as necessary for eligible repairs.
  • Promptly address and resolve customer issues or complaints to maintain satisfaction.
  • Coordinate parts procurement to ensure timely completion of vehicle repairs.
  • Assist with administrative duties related to the service operation as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of automotive components and vehicle mechanics.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Proven experience in a customer service role in the automotive industry.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficient with computers and dealership management software systems.
  • Positive attitude and genuine commitment to enhancing customer experiences.
