Designer - Footwear 07D25

We are seeking a creative and experienced Footwear Designer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a passionate individual with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of fashion trends and consumer preferences. You will be responsible for designing innovative and functional footwear collections that align with our brand's vision and meet the needs of our diverse customer base. As a Footwear Designer, you will work closely with various teams, including product development, marketing, and retail, to ensure that our footwear products exceed market expectations. If you have a strong design portfolio, exceptional illustration skills, and a degree in design or fashion, we are eager to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Develop unique and commercially viable footwear designs for seasonal collections.
• Collaborate with product development teams to ensure design feasibility and production efficiency.
• Conduct trend research and competitive analysis to inform design process.
• Create detailed sketches and technical specifications for each footwear design.
• Coordinate with material suppliers to source fabrics and components for samples.
• Ensure alignment of designs with the brand's aesthetic and target audience.
• Participate in design reviews and present concepts and prototypes to stakeholders.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies to incorporate into footwear design.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines.
• Adjust designs based on feedback and manufacturing constraints as necessary.
• Attend trade shows and fashion events to gather inspiration and network.
• Maintain organized records of design projects and revisions for future reference.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in footwear design or related area.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise and creativity in footwear design.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and CAD programs.
• Excellent understanding of materials, textiles, and production processes.
• Ability to communicate design concepts clearly through sketches and presentations.
• Strong attention to detail with exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
