As the Principal/Associate - Landscape Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic direction, management, and delivery of landscape architecture projects. Working closely with senior management, you will provide leadership, mentorship, and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of projects while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and vision for the landscape architecture division, aligning team goals with company objectives and client expectations.
Lead the conceptualization, design development, and implementation of complex landscape architecture projects, integrating site analysis, cultural context, and sustainability principles.
Manage project teams, resources, and budgets effectively to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining high-quality design standards.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project partners, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee the development of design concepts, presentations, and design documentation, ensuring alignment with client vision, project requirements, and industry best practices.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to junior and mid-level staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, planners, and environmental specialists, to integrate landscape design seamlessly into larger development projects.
Lead business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and networking activities, to expand the company's portfolio and market presence in landscape architecture.
Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in landscape architecture and urban design, contributing to thought leadership and innovation within the industry.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards governing landscape architecture projects in the Middle East region, and mitigate project risks through proactive management strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 14 years of experience in landscape architecture, with a proven track record of leading and managing complex projects in the Middle East region.
Extensive experience in the design of landscaping, public realm, and streetscape projects.
Strong project management skills, including experience in managing project teams, budgets, and schedules to achieve successful project outcomes.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire, motivate, and empower team members to achieve their full potential.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and project partners.
Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and GIS applications.
Comprehensive knowledge of sustainable design principles, green building standards, and environmental regulations relevant to landscape architecture projects in the Middle East.
Fluency in English is required.
