Job Description

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be pivotal in driving the success and operational excellence of our retail location. You will work closely with the Store Manager to oversee store operations, ensure customer satisfaction, and implement initiatives that enhance sales and service goals. Your role requires you to be customer-focused, organized, and capable of managing store operations during various shifts. You will play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding store staff, ensuring they meet performance expectations and provide exceptional customer service. Your leadership will contribute to maintaining a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, and fostering an environment where employees can thrive and grow professionally.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing day-to-day store operations and employee supervision.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively.
  • Supervise and motivate staff to meet or exceed sales goals and store performance metrics.
  • Lead by example in promoting a positive and collaborative culture within the store.
  • Organize and execute merchandising plans to enhance store appearance and appeal.
  • Manage inventory levels and perform regular audits to minimize shrinkage and loss.
  • Support training and development activities to enhance team skillsets and capabilities.
  • Assume managerial responsibilities during the Store Manager’s absence, ensuring continuity.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth store operations and logistics.
  • Prepare sales reports and analyses to assist in business decisions and strategies formulation.
  • Implement corporate policies and procedures while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist in the hiring process by evaluating potential candidates for store positions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail management role preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills a must.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in using retail management software and POS systems required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
