Job Description

The Assistant Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the sales team to achieve and exceed their sales targets. They are responsible for helping to develop strategic plans, overseeing the daily work of the sales team, and ensuring that sales strategies are executed effectively. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication and leadership skills. The Assistant Sales Manager will work closely with senior sales managers to identify potential sales opportunities and provide recommendations to improve sales performance. The ideal candidate should possess a blend of sales acumen, people management skills, and a customer-focused mindset to drive growth and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales manager in planning and executing sales strategies and operations.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure consistent achievement of sales targets.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Support senior sales staff in negotiating client contracts and closing deals.
  • Mentor and train sales staff to enhance their performance and sales skills.
  • Manage customer relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional sales campaigns.
  • Ensure that sales activities comply with organizational policies and standards.
  • Attend sales meetings and contribute insights and suggestions for process improvements.
  • Assist in setting sales goals and objectives for team members.
  • Identify and resolve customer issues and conflicts efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales environment or similar role.
  • Proven track record of supporting sales teams in achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage clients effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail.
