About the Role

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to join Dubai Holding Entertainment as an Assistant Manager - Finance Operations. This is a key business partnering role responsible for overseeing finance operations, strengthening financial governance, delivering insightful analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

In this position, you’ll take on key responsibilities that include:

• Acting as a trusted finance business partner, supporting operational leaders with meaningful financial insights, performance analysis, and recommendations that drive business success.
• Managing day-to-day finance operations and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting across multiple business units.
• Collaborating with shared service teams to oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax activities while maintaining efficient finance operations.
• Supporting the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational priorities.
• Monitoring budget performance, analysing variances, and identifying opportunities for cost optimisation and improved financial performance.
• Managing working capital, cash flow, and liquidity to support operational and strategic requirements.
• Preparing and presenting financial reports, forecasts, business reviews, and management insights to senior stakeholders.
• Evaluating business initiatives, investments, and commercial opportunities by providing robust financial analysis and recommendations.
• Driving continuous improvement across finance processes through automation, digital transformation, and the adoption of AI-enabled tools and analytics.
• Partnering with technology and shared services teams to implement solutions that enhance reporting, controls, efficiency, and decision-making.
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, internal controls, and corporate governance standards.
• Supporting audit activities and managing relationships with external auditors, advisors, and financial stakeholders.
• Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing finance team while fostering a collaborative and continuous improvement culture.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded finance professional with strong technical expertise, business partnering capabilities, and a passion for driving operational excellence.

You should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• A professional qualification such as CA or ACCA.
• At least 8 years of progressive finance experience within a large corporate environment.
• Previous experience within a Big Four accounting firm, which would be highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting standards, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
• Hands-on experience managing VAT compliance and finance operations within a complex business environment.
• Experience working with ERP platforms and finance systems, with exposure to Oracle Fusion, Vista, and VGS considered beneficial.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Practical experience using AI-enabled productivity, reporting, and analytics tools to improve business insight and operational efficiency.
• The ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative approach, with a strong commitment to integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Experience within the hospitality, leisure, entertainment, or media sectors would be an advantage.
