Job Description

The Assistant Manager – Catering Sales plays a pivotal role in driving the sales operations within the catering department of our esteemed organization. This position is responsible for assisting the Catering Sales Manager in developing, executing, and maximizing revenue growth strategies to capture new catering clients while maintaining existing relationships. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry, excellent communication skills, and a strong track record in sales and customer service. Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and managing multiple projects with a keen eye for detail will be crucial. As a member of the sales team, the Assistant Manager will work collaboratively to drive profitability, meet sales targets, and enhance brand reputation through superior client engagement and service delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Catering Sales Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to meet revenue goals.
  • Identify potential catering clients through market research and networking opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the culinary and operations teams to ensure outstanding event execution.
  • Coordinate and represent the company at trade shows and industry events to enhance brand visibility.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and detailed event orders for upcoming catered events.
  • Conduct site visits and tastings to showcase offerings and finalize event details.
  • Track and report sales metrics and client feedback to enhance service offerings.
  • Develop and manage a database of potential and current clients for targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Assist in the development of promotional materials and social media content for catering services.
  • Support cost management initiatives to maximize profitability without compromising service quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in sales, preferably within the catering industry.
  • Strong ability to multitask and manage multiple event projects concurrently.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for client engagement.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
