Job Description

The Assistant Front Office Manager position is an integral role within the hospitality industry, responsible for assisting in overseeing daily operations of the front office department. This position requires a professional with a keen ability for leadership and an aptitude for delivering exceptional customer service. As an Assistant Front Office Manager, you will work closely with the Front Office Manager to ensure the smooth operation of front desk services, coordination of guest services, and management of hotel policies and procedures. You will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming environment for guests, enhancing guest experiences, and fostering a positive work culture among the front office staff. This role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to handle a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Front Office Manager in supervising daily front desk operations efficiently.
  • Oversee guest check-in and check-out processes to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest complaints and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery to guests.
  • Train and mentor front office staff to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Monitor and manage staff scheduling and handle coverage issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest preferences and special requests.
  • Ensure adherence to hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards consistently.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations for front office team members.
  • Assist in developing strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Prepare and present reports on front office performance and guest feedback.
  • Support the implementation of technology solutions to improve front desk processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hotel front desk or supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on team development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective guest interaction.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
